The Grand Bazaar is where most of Oriental Plaza's bridal and formalwear specialists sit, within a few minutes' walk of the jewellery stores that finish the outfit. It's one of the few places in Johannesburg where a full wedding — or a matric dance look — can be sourced and fitted in a single visit.
Go early in the week if you can, and build in time for alterations — most stores make up gowns and suits to measure rather than selling off the rack only. October and November get busy with matric dance orders, so earlier is better.
